The Bangladeshi Nationalist Diaspora Alliance (BNDA) has sanctioned a 101-member convening committee, signifying the commencement of a new leadership under the auspices of its principal patron, Atiqur Rahman Rumon.

On October 6, 2025, the chief patron of BNDA, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, formally sanctioned the newly established 101-member convening committee.

A press statement released on Monday indicates that the group has been established to consolidate and fortify nationalist ideology among expats.

Mohammad Ali Chowdhury has been designated as the Convenor, Shah Jubaer as the Member Secretary, and Shayef Ahmed Sweet as the Senior Joint Convenor, with representatives from diverse nations globally.

Chief patron Atiqur Rahman Rumon sent his congratulations to the newly appointed members, stating:

The contribution of patriotic expatriates is crucial for the restoration of democracy in Bangladesh and the safeguarding of national interests. This committee will serve as a cohesive nationalist forum for Bangladeshis residing overseas.

He moreover asserted that the committee, including youthful and seasoned nationalist leaders from the diaspora, will endeavour to fortify the nationalist movement on an international scale using social media and global platforms.

Organizational sources stated that their social motto — “In the spirit of nationalism, in the unity of expatriates” — embodies their dedication.

They assert that Bangladeshi Nationalism transcends a mere political philosophy, serving as the bedrock of sovereignty, cultural identity, democratic principles, and national cohesion. In accordance with this conviction, BNDA is striving to consolidate Bangladeshi expatriates within a global framework that consistently prioritizes democracy, justice, human rights, and good governance.

The primary aims of BNDA are to:

Consolidate expatriates in the ethos of Nationalism, promote democracy and human rights, implement helpful programs for Bangladeshi expatriates, and  Safeguard Bangladesh’s interests and dignity globally.

BNDA is committed to achieving its objectives through research, publishing, cultural initiatives, humanitarian aid, and international partnerships. The group will persist in its endeavour to conserve and advocate for Bangladesh’s history, culture, and language among expatriates and forthcoming generations.

The press release indicated that the Bangladeshi Nationalist Diaspora Alliance serves as a cohesive platform for Bangladeshi expatriates who adhere to nationalist principles, dedicated to fostering the creation of a state that champions democracy and national sovereignty.
