Mbappé's comeback for the Juventus match boosts Real

Kylian Mbappe is poised to make his highly anticipated Club World Cup debut as his Real Madrid squad takes on Juventus in the last 16 at the Hard Rock Stadium this Tuesday, marking a significant advantage for the 15-time European champions.

“It’s a significant possibility,” Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso stated during a press conference on Monday when queried about the potential return of the France forward, who has been sidelined for all three group matches due to acute gastroenteritis.

Mbappe’s comeback arrives at a pivotal moment for Real Madrid, who are eager to strengthen their lineup following the returns of Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao.

“Dani and Eder are set to make their much-anticipated return following extensive recovery periods.”  “It’s a significant boost for them and the entire squad to sense that they’re connected and engaged,” Alonso stated.

“As we reach this critical juncture, every player on the field, from the starters to those on the sidelines, plays a pivotal role.”

Alonso, stepping into his role just weeks ago, emphasised that the team’s primary focus is on building a strong collective identity.

“Our goal is to cultivate a squad that operates in unison, with all 11 players demonstrating complete dedication, regardless of possession.” The power of our unity will enable standout talents such as Vinicius, Mbappe, Rodrigo, and Bellingham to excel truly,” he emphasised.

Juventus coach Igor Tudor recognised the significant challenge ahead but emphasised that his team was ready to compete fiercely, rather than merely gearing up for the next season.

“Our squad is elite.”  “The draw may not have been ideal, but it’s a reality we have to come to terms with,” Tudor stated during the press conference.

“It’s all about belief, relentless effort, sacrifices, minimising errors, and a sprinkle of fortune.”

Tudor lauded Real Madrid’s recent tactical transformation under Alonso, drawing parallels to the impressive results Alonso achieved at Bayer Leverkusen.

“The previous encounter mirrored the tactics and strategies employed by Leverkusen, showcasing a striking resemblance in plays, systems, and overall style.” Xabi Alonso has swiftly put his strategies into action, pointing out that Madrid still possesses “some weaknesses we can exploit.”

The champions will square off against the winners of the highly anticipated showdown between Borussia Dortmund and Monterrey, set to unfold in Atlanta this Tuesday.
