Tottenham Hotspur set Son contract's renewal to 2026

Tottenham Hotspur has exercised an option to extend the contract of forward Son Heung-min for an additional year, securing his services until the summer of 2026.

Since joining Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, the 32-year-old has made a significant impact, netting 169 goals in 431 appearances for the club.

The South Korea international boasts an impressive record of 125 goals and 68 assists across 320 appearances in the Premier League.

He played a crucial role in a Spurs team that made history by reaching the club’s inaugural Champions League final in 2019, and he contributed to their fifth-place finish in the top tier last season.

Tottenham currently sits in 12th place in the league standings, with Son contributing five goals and six assists across 17 appearances in the top flight.

In a significant development, the north London club has revealed the news ahead of their Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Liverpool, scheduled for Wednesday at home.
